Background
Hayley Morgan is the brains behind Baskervilld, designing and making bespoke fused glass pieces from her studio near Brecon in South Wales.
Originally from Wales, Hayley has moved all over and has spent a lot of time on the West coast of Scotland. She draws a lot of her inspiration from her time spent around the Ocean and the natural surroundings of her showroom and studio.
Commissions are very welcome and designs can be created to compliment any home or commercial environment. If you are interesting in commissioning Hayley for your project please get in touch through the contact page.
What is Fused Glass?
Fusing glass is the technique of layering thin sheets of glass together and firing them in a special oven (called a kiln) at temperatures of up to 800ºc for hours at a time. The piece and then allowed to cool over a set period of time to produce a fully fused and strong finished product. That is the basics anyway, it's actually a lot more complicated than that! Many different techniques can be applied to change the glass in different ways. Read more about fused glass at Wikipedia.
